Phoenix — Wilfredo Ledezma was designated for assignment by the Braves on Sunday, which could mark the end of a brief and tumultuous relationship between the team and the left-handed reliever. The move came two days after Ledezma gave up a game-ending home run to Arizona's Tony Clark leading off the 11th inning of Friday's 8-7 loss to the Diamondbacks. Ledezma was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in 12 appearances since the Braves got him from Detroit in a June 20 trade for lefty reliever Macay McBride. The Braves designated him for assignment knowing full well another team probably would claim the hard-throwing Ledezma on waivers.
